Born in Italy, Davide Cava started music study at the age of 4.
He has actively participated in national and international competitions and received numerous prizes and awards, including the honorable mention at the NTD International Competition in New York and the Second Prize at the Panama City International Piano Competition.
Davide has also performed as a soloist with numbers of orchestras, including Turin Conservatory Orchestra, Asti Symphonic Orchestra and Mihail Jora Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Maestro Ovidiu Balan. He has been a recipient of prestigious CRT Foundation Scholarship from 2014 to 2017.
His principal teachers include Luigi Dominici, Marina Scalafiotti and Pietro De Maria.
Davide has performed in several masterclasses and academies led by renowned pianists, including Lang Lang, Michel Béroff, Maria João Pires, Pavel Gililov, Fabio Bidini, Benedetto Lupo, Roberto Plano, Alessio Bax, Lucille Chung, Andrea Lucchesini, Aleksandr Madzar, Dominique Merlet, Nelson delle Vigne-Fabbri, Philippe Entremont, Vladimir Feltsman, Stanislav Ioudenitch.
After studying piano and composition for 12 years and completing a Diploma and attending the Concertist Master Degree with highest honors at Conservatory "Giuseppe Verdi" in Turin, Italy, Davide is continuing his studies with Maestro Joaquı́n Achúcarro at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. He graduated completing the Performer's Diploma and attained the "Paul Vellucci Piano Award" by the SMU Piano Faculty as outstanding student and he is currently pursuing the Master in Piano Performance.
