Simone Sala is an Italian pianist and composer who has made of his polyhedral and eclectic nature the epicentre of his artistic message which experiences the choice of a repertoire that ranges from Classical to Latin Jazz with no disdain of Music for movies and singer-songwriter music, always riarranged in a very personal way.


Born in Bojano, a small town in the South of Italy located in Molise, grown up in a  well-known family for its long musical tradition, he starts very young studying music and piano.  At 10 years old he got admitted at the Conservatory “L. Perosi”of Campobasso and obtained his first degree when he was just 20, graduating with the highest grades “Cum laude” and honorable jury mention.  His studies continue in Naples by the lead of the great pianist and Italian teacher Annamaria Pennella until 2005, the year in which he meets Joaquin Achucarro, one of the finest pianist in the world, during a summer course at the “Accademia Chigiana” in Siena. The following year he won a full scholarship at the Southern Methodist University in Dallas where he had the opportunity to study with Achucarro and achieve his second university degree (Artist Certificate).


Winner of over than 30 prizes over 15 years attending  piano competitions throughout the world, as well as winner of the Merit Medal of the Molise Region and of the Honorific Medal of the Presidency of the Italian Republic - reserved for young people who have special merits in fields of culture and arts.


Simone Sala carries out an intense concert activity and constantly produces musical events collecting a long series of perfomances throughout all Italy, as well as in Spain, England, Czech Republic, Poland, United States, Thailand, Cambodia, as a soloist, in chamber groups and soloist with Orchestra, accompanied by a series of prestigious european and non-european ensembles, including the:

Simone Sala’s record production dates back to when he was very young: his first real experience in a recording studio was in collaboration with the “Quintet For the end of time”, occasion in which he recorded and produced the Album "Di Corsa" in 2008.


His second appearance in a record production is going to happen in 2010 for the album "De la Buena onda" where Simone appears as guest artist together with some of the most prolific and famous artists including Marcus Miller, Alex Acuna, Cliff Almond, Alain Perez, Mango, G. Baglioni, and many others.


In 2011 , "Duende", his first personal album,  Simone Sala emerges not only as a pianist but also as an arranger and composer. The album achieves record sales and profits for an emerging pianist, in fact it has been reprinted 4 times in few years.


“Notes”, his latest and fourth Album, comes out in March 2014, currently launched in Italy and abroad and already available on Amazon and Itunes as well as on all the major music networks.


Simone Sala is often hostin several radio and television schedules, both on the occasion of presenting his artistic projects that as columnist related to cultural subjects. Just to mention the main, he was in fact host of RAI 3, RAI 2, RAI History, RAI International, SKY TV, Rai Radio 1, Radio Rai 2, Rai Radio 3, Isoradio, MPA Radio, Radio Capital , Radio Orizzonte, Radio Luna, Totally imported Radio, Radio Jazz 101, WRR Classical 101, Telemolise, Teleregione, TLT, Telenorba and many others…


In addition to his activities as a pianist, Simone Sala has always been, since a very young age,a promoter of  musicand cultural activities and projects,including: the International Music Academy Mario Santoro, a School located in the beautiful 11th century Santoro Palace that offers high-level master classes and specialization courses for students from all around the world, where Simone has held the position of Music Director for three years; the"International Piano Summer Campus" (2008), a three-weekssummer camp for pianist, located in South Italy, offered every June for pianists then he become the  “World Music Project” International Music Festival Art Director from 2008 to 2014.


Since 2015 to 2018, Simone Sala has been in charge as Artistic Director of Jazz in Campo, an International Music Festival located in South Italy at his 14th, attended every year from 15.000 to 20.000 people as audience. 

He is currently Oratino MAC Music Festival Art Director.


Within these projects, Sala has worked with several great Artists, including Al di Meola, Richard Galliano, Billy Cobham, Tullio De Piscopo, James Senese, Tony Esposito, Michel Camilo, Vinicio Capossela, Mario Biondi, Silvia Mezzanotte, Flavio Boltro, Michele Placido, Paola Gassman, just to mention a few of the biggest names in the international music and theatre business.
