Kevin Burg was born 1995 in Bad Nauheim, Germany. He started his musical studies at the age of 9 with Raffaele Mani (Legacy Pianist of the Joaquín Achúcarro Foundation). In 2014 he entered the Wiesbadener Musikakademie (Germany), where he studied piano pedagogy.
Currently, he is a student of Maestro Joaquín Achúcarro, completing a Performer´s Diploma in piano performance at the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University in Dallas where he was awarded a full scholarship. Burg has given solo and chamber music recitals in Germany, Italy, Austria and the United States, playing in venues such as the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, Schloss Leopoldskron in Salzburg and Schloss Biebrich in Wiesbaden. He has won top prizes in many national piano and chamber music competitions in Germany and Austria, such as the first prize at the German federal competition “Jugend Musiziert” (young musicians) at the age of 14.
He was awarded scholarships such as the Van Katwijk Piano Scholarship and the Appassionato Scholarship, among others. In 2014 he was a participant at the International Music Seminars “Appassionato“ in Italy, where he was the first recipient of the “Appassionato Honors Diploma“. In 2016 Mr. Burg has been ranked among the top achieving graduate students at Southern Methodist University which enabled him to join the Golden Key International Honor Society.
