Elettra Aurora Pomponio started playing piano at the age of 4 and therefore she has been in contact with music for the majority of her life.
She has been studying with the pianist Joaquin Achucarro in these last two years at the Southern Methodist University thanks to the scholarship received by both the university and the Achucarro’s Foundation. She graduated last year after finishing the Piano Performance Diploma. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music in piano performance.
Elettra attended the prestigious Conservatory “G. Verdi” in her hometown Turin in Italy. She received both the Diploma and the Master Degree with special focus on Chamber Music under the guide of Maestro Bruno Bosio. During those years she participated to numerous masterclasses and in one of those, toward the end of her studies, she met Professor Achucarro.
Elettra has been performing internationally in Italy, Scotland, and America, and she has been taking part in competitions since 2003. She has also been performing with orchestra in different occasions as for example to inaugurate the “Perosi Festival” in Italy.
